Organic Natural Beauty, Brand Loyalty Is Not Required

Brand Loyalty, is it truly necessary? I don’t think so. As we become more educated on organic natural skin care products and become an expert we know whats good and whats bad. It’s important to find products that work for you and they don’t all have to be the same brand. Just read your labels and be aware.

The popular cosmetics companies want us to be fooled and use brand loyalty as a sales pitch and ploy. They say to get the best results we have to buy and use the cleanser, toner, moisturizer. They’ll tell us these are scientifically formulated and are meant to work together to produce the best results. They’ll tell us when we use these products together it will increase our skins moisture, balance the pH, hydrate, clear acne, and help get rid of wrinkles, and if you don’t buy and use the whole product line it won’t work. This whole product line can cost from $20-$600 depending on what you’re being tricked into buying. REMEMBER everyone in the the industry is after your hard earned cash. These synthetic products really don’t help your skin or your body. These products actually age you faster causes more wrinkles and leave your skin totally imbalanced and dull. When you buy a product for its ingredients and not the pretty packaging then you’ll end up with gorgeous skin and a healthy body also.

When you purchase organic and natural skin care products try different brands, get creative. There is no need to be totally faithful to just one brand. For example Jurlique makes an awesome antiaging product called Herbal Recovery gel, but makes so-so cleansers and way to plain toners. If you think your skin needs an exfoliator try Dr. Hauschka’s Cleansing Cream or make one at home from scratch using ingredients you know are totally safe.

This way of shopping totally goes opposite of what everyone tells you how to shop, and that’s OK. You don’t need to jump off a cliff just because everyone else is doing it do you? NO, you don’t! You’ll hear salespeople tell you that if you use all types of products it will confuse your skin. That’s crazy. Our skin does not have its own brain, it doesn’t think for itself. And if our skin does become confused its because its irritated and is having a reaction to some type of chemical ingredient in a product. When we use a well formulated product that is mild and good for us we won’t have a reaction or shouldn’t have a reaction. This goes for hair care products too. Hair doesn’t get used to a certain brand.

Another thing to think about is that these companies will makeover their packaging every three or four years and may even say it’s new and improved. Don’t be fooled, instead ask why did they make an OK product only to improve it, was it not safe and effective? It’s something to seriously think about. Also these companies will remake a whole product line due to new data regarding its safety. This makes it easier for them, so they don’t have to do just one product at a time they do the whole line at once and reintroduce it.

So don’t be fooled by brand loyalty and check what your labels list for ingredients. Be totally informed and always be a bit skeptical. This will help you on your road to becoming an organic and natural beauty expert. READ your LABELS ladies its important!!!
